Kitchen Makeover
There’s something about falling back in love with your own home.
We moved into our home 5 years ago. At that time our home was only 2 years old but being builder built it was very standard and we definitely wanted to customize it to our own style. We changed light fixtures, updated appliances and made some necessary improvements.
Since then, we have continued to change and update different rooms in our home. With that being said, there have been a lot of changes in the design world within the last 5 years.
I started to feel certain aspects in our home were starting to look dated and needed a bit of a refresh. So I wanted to share some small updates, that made a big impact.
BEFORE and AFTER:
2014: Before purchase (previous owners)
2015: Changed light fixtures, furniture, added decor.
2018: Painted walls, added furniture and built wet bar
2020: Light fixtures, chairs, hardware

Additional changes:
This update led us to make a few other things changes throughout our home.
Above is an example of a small update of our railings. We previously had a design alternate on a few spindles leading upstairs and we wanted a cleaner, simpler, more modern look. I was able to contact a local company to purchase 5 matching spindles.
Door Handles and Hinges. This was a very impactful change, it immediately changed the vibe of our rooms and hallways.
After 5 years our home is still a work in progress, things are always changing but these minor changes make such a difference.
