SECRET GARDEN BEDROOM
Decorating my daughters room was one of the sweetest rooms I’ve ever designed. I got to create a room full of beauty and style while still being able to capture all the things little girls love.
One of my favorite things about her room has to be the wreath I made for the ceiling around her chandelier.
How To:
I created this by using an empty Christmas wreath I purchased from Michaels and covering it with silk flowers in varies shades of greens, pinks and whites. I used a hot glue gun to adhere all the flowers to the wreath form. I did this until I achieved the desired fullness and look. I then used 2 pieces of wire and attached them to the back of the wire to create an upside down “V” shape to be able to hang from 2 ceiling hooks. There may be some adjustments that need to be made to the wire so both sides are even when they are hung.
Here I created a small little gallery wall of cute little sayings that I framed in different textures and sizes. To break up the space in between I purchased these mini faux plants and I used command strips to help them adhere to the wall.
There’s so many personalized additions to this room that I’m so in love with. Having her dress that she wore on her first birthday hanging in the window or her having her first pair of sparkly shoes framed in a box, makes this room extra special!
