DIY- Christmas Advent Calendar
We all remember those chocolate advent calendars that we used to get as kids, every morning we would look forward to finding the date, popping the little door open and eat a piece of chocolate for breakfast!
Now a days it’s fun to take that same tradition but personalize it to each individual family.
I really wanted to do something fun for my kids this year but couldn’t find one advent calendar that I could use for all my kids (even though only 2 of them will really understand what’s going on).
After looking at many options for this calendar I decided to make it on my own!
Supplies Needed :
-Framed Pin Board
-Envelopes
-Stickers
-Treats
I chose 2 different sizes of envelopes and alernated sizes of to make room for 24 spots.
Next I tried to figure out how I would write the numbers, and after many attempts with scrap paper and a sharpie I thought stickers would be a great option!
I chose 2 types of stickers and also changed the format throughout the board.
Once this was organized I chose what I wanted to place inside, I did some candy, some gift cards to various stores and also small amounts of money to decide how they want to spend it that day. Stickers, mini tattoos and small crafts are also great options.
I secured each envelope to the board with a decorative pin and hung the whole frame on the wall, added some greens and VOILA! You have a DIY advent calendar that the kids are sure to love!!
